dreams make me crazy.

i miss you. :(

gahd. he's always coming in my dreams. i find myself soo happy, but crying in tears as i figured out that it's just a dream. i can't imagine how life screw me up in happenings that i don't understand, happenings that destiny lets me pass through even if i had a downfall on that part. i wish everything you wanted just happen. hay. if i were the 'bruce almighty' of the philippines, i'll use my powers nicely and not in bad terms.

i miss everything like i've never seen them before. :(

day of toot. whatever.

whatta. i never experienced like this before. i got this and i got that. i had no feelings for the said valentine's day. i thought this was just a usual Sunday, no thoughts could come into my mind that yesterday was valentine's day. what??? i didn't even notice it's the chinese new year. sayang. i didn't wear a red get-up with matching polka dots. they've thought na i've remembered to do this but no, it's because of my aching teeth.

bwisit na braces, nauso pa sa mundo. most people often tell it's better to have braces than to ruin your life after missing the time you could put your braces on. style-wise, okay sya. but achy-wise, no thanks. i'd better remove this pieces of steel pasted on my teeth, rather than suffer major toothache, that contributes to headaches, which later on turns into complete brain bleed kasi hindi mo masagot ung mga tanong sa class. argh. up to now, it's still hurting. alambre ba naman ilagay sa ngipin ko, nangingilo na nga. ay nako. haha. :))

i don't have a date for that valentine's day. that's why it's not a remembering day for me. haha. :)) looking forward to one. :)

anyway. malapit na ang prom. no idea what to wear, how to do it, and be included in the party. i just want bar hopping, than to dance cotillion there. haha :)) joke lang. of course i still want to feel what a high school student must feel lalo na kapag prom, when there's someone you can dance with. haha. :)) i'm just looking forward to the event with my friends. :D

gahd. how long did i live that i can't even check this blog site? this is supposed to be my journal. and yet, NO TIME.! hmp. well. it's not me whose to blame for being on the "busy girl" state pero it's the selfish teachers [i'm not counting them all in the list. :D ] for always giving us the hardships but still, no higher grade. wah. this is idiocracy. [wow. new word kasi ee so i often use this kahit inappropriate. haha!] anyway. :) is it life that punishes me? or is it the teachers who love to see us drown under their mounts of paperworks to be done for "HiGHER" grades they usually bargain for. they don't know how hard to be graduating students. i know they've gone through this mess before, in their time. but come on! this time is different from their generations. ours were given opportunity to students like me to slouch and just play computer games while doing schoolworks. it's how the new life is. but they stick to what they believe is right, but to us is wrong. waaaaaa. minsan nga ee, i just want to scream in front of them and give my sentiments based on what we feel towards what they tell me to do. gosh. for heaven's sake. i cannot believe in miracles now. :( just to finish this year is enough, no more hard time with those selfish and immoral teachers that made our high school life as miserable as a life could be. hay.

Wedding Traditions in Asia

There is something inherently mysterious and romantic about Asia…the mysterious Far East. And when it comes to weddings, the rich diversity of Asian cultures, traditions and religions makes for a wide variety of colorful and fascinating wedding customs.

In the land of the rising sun

In Japan, for instance, purple is the color of love and a young bride may choose to wear an elaborately-embroidered silk kimono covered in purple iris-flowers. Weddings are traditionally either Shinto, during which the natural spirits, the kami, are called upon to bless the couple, or it might be a Buddhist ceremony during which two strings of beads are interwoven, symbolizing the joining of two families into one.

The dragon and the phoenix

Chinese traditions held that the gift of a whole roast pig given by the groom's family to the bride's family was an appropriate engagement gift. The traditional wedding gown in China is bright red, symbolizing luck for the new couple. Chinese bridal gowns are traditionally adorned with elaborate golden phoenixes, chrysanthemums and peonies, symbols of wealth and good fortune. The groom traditionally wears a black silk coat over a robe embroidered with a dragon, and you can expect loud firecrackers at a Chinese wedding to scare off evil spirits.

The reception that goes on and on...

In Indonesia it is not uncommon for more than 1,000 guests to be invited to the wedding reception and it is customary for the bride and the groom to greet each guest in a long receiving line before the reception festivities can begin.

In Korea it is traditional for a fortune-teller, known as a kung-hap, to look into the couple's future before they are married in order to see if they will live harmoniously together. A harmonious union is very important since the engagement gifts alone for a traditional Korean wedding can cost upwards of $40,000.

A three-day wedding ceremony.

An early Filipino custom required the groom to throw a spear into the front steps of his intended-bride's home. This was a dramatic symbol to everyone that she had been spoken for. Today this tradition has been replaced with a gold engagement ring. Today the majority of Filipino weddings are Catholic, but in days gone by a Filipino wedding lasted three days, with ceremonies performed each day until the third day when the couple joined hands and declared their love for each other three times and their hands were bound together with a chord and the priest declared them married.

The journey of a lifetime begins with milk and water.

In India and other countries with a Hindu culture it is considered bad luck for the bride and groom to see each other for several days before the wedding. As part of the marriage ceremony the bride's parents wash the couple's feet with milk and water as a symbol of purifying them for the journey of their new life together. As part of the ceremony the couple holds in their hands grains of rice and oats and green leaves, signifying wealth, good health and happiness.

Many cultures, many traditions with but a single goal: to unite two hearts into one.

Many Asian cultures, many traditions, but all are centered around the basic concept of a new beginning, a new journey down the path of life together, hand in hand, filled with love and a new commitment of two hearts joined forever as one.
